Wedding information
What is the dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is formal or wedding attire (both British or Bengali style, or whatever other attire is the equivalent in your culture!).
Our wedding will be a traditional western style wedding, so we would suggest guests avoid wearing the colours of the bride or wedding party (white and red).
Are children allowed?
Please note that due to space restrictions, we can only invite children from our families and children under the age of one. Invites will be addressed to the children who are invited. However, if you are unable to find childcare, please do let us know and we can advise on any accommodations we can make.
We know weddings can be long days for small children, so please be aware that there are no specific facilities for children at our wedding, such as a play area or creche services.
Are there accommodation options nearby?
Yes! We are keen for as many of our guests to stay until the end of the party and we know this may mean an overnight stay.
Accommodation is available at Tylney Hall Hotel itself, with rooms available from 3pm, with a storage area and changing room also available to our guests who are not able to check in before the ceremony. Guests who ring the hotel and mention they are staying for our wedding can receive up to a 10% discount for their stay.
There are also hotels available in nearby Hook village, or at hotels in Basingstoke. Please note that as our wedding is on the final bank holiday weekend of the summer these listings are likely to be booked up quickly, and guests should book as soon as possible to get the best rates and widest range of options.
Is there a gift registry?
Your presence at our wedding is enough of a gift, but if you would like to kindly give us something extra, we would greatly appreciate contributions to either of the following things:
Cash contributions to our honeymoon, as both of us have individually been homeowners for many years and already own everything we need to make our home together.
A donation on our behalf to the aid charity Palestinian Red Crescent, or the Israeli Human rights non profit organisation B’Tselem, causes which are close to our hearts. As a couple our shared values are a big part of our relationship, and they include trying to make a positive impact in the wider world. We have both been highly affected by seeing the suffering war has brought.
Any of the above contributions will be highly appreciated, but are not expected.
